Goma EVA en nuevas conexiones exteriores

Buenos días.
Hace ya mucho tiempo adquirí dos tomas exteriores nuevas para la caravana que estoy reformando:

La cosa es que ambas tomas vienen con una lamina" de goma EVA" de alta densidad por detrás,
¿Me recomendáis dejarla o quitarla?

Ambas tomas van a ir tanto con butilo como los bordes sellados con MS.

No sé lo que es MS.

Si no recuerdo mal, la goma EVA además de hacerlo estanco, evita que el plástico toque con el aluminio. Así al apretar es más difícil que se raje o que ralles el aluminio.
Pero no he puesto en caravanas cosas así, a ver si alguien te puede dar más pistas que yo.

PD: ¿seguro que es goma EVA, no será otro tipo de goma?

Por sensación me da que como goma eva, tiene un tacto poroso y blando...es lo que me recordó.
Ahora no las tengo a mano pues ayer estuve pintando las tomas.

Yo tampoco lo sé, pero hablar de goma EVA me recuerda a las manualidades de los chiquillos

A mi me pasa lo mismo, lo uso para un tema de pesca y coge agua.... Por eso me escapar, pero joder..... Si viene en esas tomas por algo será....
